gets a four-star rating from me. I polished this book off over two days. A fresh out of law school lawyer, a seasoned legal veteran, crooked cops, trumped-up charges, old wounds wanting revenge – all set in the deep south. This story combines two murder cases that the new lawyer, Ruby, is faced with, and despite her misgivings about being able to help her clients, the woman who steps up to help Ruby gives her the courage to get to the bottom of the cases and bring the real culprits to justice.
A must-read for anyone who loves a good mystery.
