Alexandra was very sad. Christmas was just around the corner, and she knew she should be happy, but Alexandra didn’t have anything to give her grandma for Christmas. Alexandra started to cry.
Alexandra’s mommy saw her crying and asked her what was wrong.
“I don’t have a present for Grandma for Christmas,” Alexandra snivelled. “And I don’t have any money to buy one!” Her little shoulders were shaking uncontrollably.
Mommy gathered Alexandra into her arms, hugged her close, and brushed away the tears from her little cheeks.
“I have an idea,” said Mommy. “Why don’t you make a present for Grandma?”
Alexandra stopped crying and looked up at her mommy. “Make one?” she asked. “How can I do that? I’m only four.”
