Last weekend’s Christmas Book Market & Open House may not have been bustling with crowds, but it was rich in the things that matter most: genuine connection, joyful conversation, and moments that remind us why we write, read, and share stories.
Whether one person walked through the door or twenty, each visit carried meaning and each reader left with a book chosen just for them.
Small Events, Big Heart
Yes, it was a quieter weekend.
But “quiet” isn’t the same as “unsuccessful.”
We shared stories, chatted with neighbours, signed books, and introduced both new and longtime readers to Canadian authors they may not have otherwise discovered. We even had the honour of welcoming special guest R.M. Burthom, whose presence brought an extra spark of inspiration to the event.
Every reader who came made the experience personal and memorable. When someone picks up a book and says, “This one is calling to me,” it reminds us why events like this matter.
